South Shore Summer Theater has a mission to inspire and educate local youth with a unique theater education program, that gives young talent the opportunity to learn acting, singing and technical theater, but also design, orchestration, musical direction and stage management. We have served hundreds of talented kids in our productions, from age 7 to 18. We also have older students designing costumes, lighting, and scenery. We encourage all children to create, imagine and explore the arts through the medium of live theatre, in the hopes they will discover things about themselves and others, and learn to accept and respect what is unique in their fellow participants.

Our goal in the coming years is to foster the creativity of our students and give them an opportunity to work together, sharing ideas and talent, as they produce a theatrical production each summer, with our guidance and instruction.
